Going to Farewell to Paulo Noel

This is where he settled 34 years ago, with the woman of his life, out of his love for the place, where he was finally honored. His relatives celebrated Paulo Noel during a party in Kamuraska. His widow Diane has returned to us for this touching farewell.

These are happy memories that the singer’s relatives brought back to the people last Saturday, June 11, in the municipal complex of Saint-Denis-de-la-Butellerie in Camorasca. Upon entering, one can see a montage of articles relating to Paulo Noel’s life and career, as well as the books he has published and the awards he received while there. “Not everyone knows everything he’s done,” said his widow, Diane Bolduc-Noel. I’ve got beautiful testimonials from people who love us. It was good for me to be surrounded by all these beautiful people. It really affected me. I felt like I wasn’t giving up on me, that people were there for me. She spoke during the ceremony to greet the person who happily shared her presence.

Help the Alzheimer’s Association
Diane recalls that it was important to donate to the Alzheimer’s Association, which helps people with this terrible disease that affects memory (which killed the singer) and their caregivers. “It affects not just one person, but an entire family.”

For Paolo, Diane thinks it all started about 10 years ago, when he fell off a scaffold and crashed to the ground below his boat. “He lost his balance, fell, fell and lost consciousness.”

loving community
The community showed the widow their love for her and the deceased during the ceremony. “We’ve been a part of the community for many years! My son, Constantino, worked here. His wife, Pascal, is a beauty product representative here, so everyone knows her, and it works, her work! We’re very present in the community.”

The mayor recently phoned the widow. She said, “I want to thank you for introducing me to Saint-Denis de la Boutique. When I got here people started talking about it.”

grateful grandson
The son of their daughter Vanessa, Blue, who is a rapper, gave a touching testimonial in recognition of her. “Since he was very young, he’s been writing poems,” Diane said. She is very proud of the path he took. He had major drug problems and came to settle in the area to get away from the city and its dangers. He and his grandfather have taken great care of him for the past five years. And in Kamuraska there is a program that helps young people in difficulty, which has enabled Blue to cope better.

new chapter
With her husband’s affectionate farewell, Diane has just ended a chapter of her life. What awaits him next? “I really like my house and I’m comfortable there, but I don’t want to stay there. In the winter, it’s very hard to be alone. It’s too big. I’d like to sell it and build a smaller house for myself, or build a trailer nearby. I also own land for sale. I have 10 acres.” From the ground. I want to get rid of all that. I would like to stay in Saint-Denis-De La Bouteillerie, but in a smaller place.”
