The trailer was created with in-game videos of the upcoming Forza Motorsport running on Xbox Series X and is simply amazing. Two videos have been revealed, one of which is a teaser for the game, the other of the real-time gameplay allowing for details on the Maple Valley circuit (existing since the first FM launched in 2005) carefully choreographed and detailed like never before with the power of the next generation. .

In addition to Maple Valley, the trailer featured fan favorites at Spa-Francorchamps and the Laguna Seca racetrack. Also unveiled were the Kyalami Grand Prix, a South African circuit making its debut at Forza Motorsport, and Japan’s all-new Hakone, a twisting, lightning-fast Grand Prix circuit designed to showcase the technologically advanced and sophisticated immersion of the new Forza Motorsport.

The cornerstone of Forza Motorsport is the all-new, dynamic time system, which brings tracks to life in stunning detail which, like weather, will be available across all tracks. Changes in the time of day alter ambient temperatures which in turn affect circuit path temperatures.

These changes in track temperature will affect your vehicle’s grip, just like weather events. These new simulation details add depth, drama and dynamics to the racing experience.

Environments have been captured using photogrammetry and 3D laser scanning, while advanced rendering technologies bring a new level of realism to the track. Grass, rocks, 3D plants, sky and clouds demonstrate a generational leap in beauty and detail, while Forward+ lighting and physics-based lights combine to enhance realism and motorsport immersion, highlighted by the night glow of the Maple Valley Ferris wheel.

Improved car physics

The developers have completely overhauled the beta experience to take advantage of the power of next-generation Xbox consoles. They have improved the accuracy of the physics simulation by nearly 48 times. Based on player feedback, Turn 10 Studios introduced new features such as tire and fuel management, multiple tire vehicles, and everything under the body of the car was designed to create the ultimate racing game.

It all comes to life from the pits to the track, where advanced materials and shades, along with Ray Tracing, highlight stunning details like gold heatsink, anodized aluminum and carbon fibre. Ray Tracing technology is particularly effective in the viscera of the engine, with its complex reversals.

At Forza Motorsport, damages to cars are reproduced down to the detailed scratches visible on the bodywork. New details are available in the direction of wear, the way the paint peels off the contours of the body, wheel dents and dirt buildup. Car damage is the reality of racing and has been authentically replicated in the new Forza Motorsport.
