Johnny Goudreau can get between 9 and 10 million in a season

The star doesn’t end up every year in the free agent market. Often times there are very good players, nothing more. Then when that’s the case, we’re often talking about older players, who have already played their best years.

But this year we have Johnny Goudreau.

Gaudreau is coming off the best season of his career with 115 points, including 40 goals. This is the first time the junior striker has reached a 100-point plateau, although he came very close in 2018-2019 (99 points).

Of course, the flame will want to keep it.

The main interested party also says he loved Calgary.

But what does a man like Gaudreau deserve?

Well, according to Gianna Hahn, who covers Flyers, a winger can make $9-10 million per season.

it’s huge.

But when you think about it, it’s not really surprising.

Artemi Panarin secured a 7-year £81.5 million deal with the Rangers in 2019 where he was enjoying full free agency. Obviously, at the time, the payroll was increasing every year exponentially, so this must be taken into account. However, Panarin still compares well to Gaudreau, as they are both wingers with complete independence and are in their early thirties when it comes time to sign the contract.

Panarin is, in my opinion, better than Gaudreau, which also explains why the latter makes just under $11,642,857 a year at Panarin.

Gaudreau is currently entering his best years and many teams are dreaming of being able to count on him. If he succeeds in opening the free agent market, there will definitely be one upside and we can be surprised sometimes. Between 9 and 10 million per season? This is entirely possible in my opinion.

One thing is for sure, however, the team that gets Gaudreau will have a hockey player in their hands.

Many of

Canadians weren’t happy with their loss.

– Coming home to Jiro?

– truly?

– For those who missed it.

– interesting.

It’s unfortunate to see his career take this turn.

– Fabulous.

– Another one stands out.
